Yes!
they are the 15W/8530-K00 and XT25 vifa's

got superior Z caps on the tweeter section of the crossover and just standard jantzen caps on the mids.

damn crossovers set me back nearly $600.. not including drivers, accessories etc

I love the sound they produce, and the bass from the 5" woofers? is crazy for the size. Id love to run a MTM configuration with these later on, but the cost of new cabinets, crossover parts and the driver might not be worth it :(

I actually wanted to keep my proac clones, however these just seem to work so much better in the room, and after comparing music back to back, the ellam XT's (pictured above) are just better, more natural sounding, smoother midrange, just love them _b

Im running revelators in the car too, with illuminator tweeters
(drivers side) still trying to finish this off though

in fact, bloody sony :D are using them in their reference speakers at nearly $30k u.s they are using an air circ tweeter and the 15m though
Id love to add a 8" scan onto my speakers :D

so did you sell the ProAc clones in the end? I notice the tardme auction but they seemed to be pretty cheapskate bidders :D. I just got me the Sjofn Clue bookshelves of trademe. Now i'm trying to decide between Peachtree Decco or the Wadia 151 >_< so many difficult choices

still for sale :(

I know I wanted quite a bit for them when you originally asked me, however at the time it was very early days for me.

Im half and half about selling them, they just dont seem to work to well in the room, sounded great at my previous place though..
I much prefer the sound of the scanspeak 2905/9500 tweeters (in the clones) over the XT25 vifa's, although the vifa's seem to have a much nicer top end / sparkle to them :D

im actually eyeing up some scanspeak revelator 9800 series tweeters, as apparently they are drop in replacements over the xt25's i.e. same crossover slopes/points same size cutout, however they are nearly $200 a piece!

Interesting choice above, have you considered just using a PC as a source and higher end sound card or digital out?
I noticed Parts express are doing quite a few kitset amps now at quite good prices

few changes since last setup

TV: LG 60PZ850
Receiver: Marantz SR7005
DVD/Blu-Ray Player: HTPC - Sold PS3... to pay for various upgrades mainly the ****ing speaker cables that cost an arm and a leg...
Speakers: B&W 683 fronts, B&W HTM61 centre, B&W 684 surrounds... Bi'wire/Bi'amp 683's (audioquest rocket 33 speaker cables and type 4's)
Sanus SF34 speaker stands ...for B&W 685's which may replace my 684's as surrounds.. haven't decided whether to keep bi'amping the 683's or use those resources for 7.1..
Sub: ..B&W ASW610XP testing currently and may purchase if I sell the Mirage for enough.
Headphones: Sennheiser HD558, Grado SR 325i, Marley Trenchtowns, Sennheiser HD280, B&W P5's and C5's

I have become a bit of a B&W fanboy....
....thanks richard for the deallllllzzz on the marantz/b&w/aq gears!

I would say stick with the bi'amping as those 683s are reasonably power hungry.

yeah tested 7.1 with the additional 685's but my 683's weren't being driven without bi'amping, sold my 684's and kept 685's as surrounds, the 685's for a bookshelf speaker are really nice, 684's were just too large as surrounds.

A seperate power amp for the 683s would allow you to run 7.1 and still get plenty of power to the fronts.

Why on earth do you have bookshelfs/rears sitting on top of floorstanders??!?!

I think this is all a front for free-range sodomy, recreational waterboarding and the mass-consumption of white drugs. Rick Santorum would not approve. So I'm probably in. Free Dionysius.
