1400 to call with 2900 in the pot, never folding in that spot really.. need like 30% equity to call there which you easily have with AJ imo

By saying he had a pair of sevens do you mean pocket 7s and made a set or a 78 type of hand? Don't check call rivers at micros with 1 pair hands without history with villain. It is a (small)3b pot so it is a little different but I'd rather jam. Check calling in these spots is going to be a losing play long run without knowing his tendancies IMO. You have to 3B bigger (if at all), to like 20c. Then you can just pot flop and jam turn

LOL. Never fold the nuts, ever. LOL You've even got backdoor redraws to flushes and boats. Play better. Did I mention it's NEVER correct to fold the nuts? ![]() ---

LOL are you serious? shall I run some equities?
they both had the nuts, one with 2 pair aswell and another with the nut flush draw 40c invested, 3 way pot and i need to invest an extra 200 bb This really isn't a situation where I make much or lose much from folding here. I'm sorry but I don't see the hilarity, being able to fold the nuts in 3-4 way pots on the flop on wet boards with no re-draw is definitely a must sometimes in omaha, if you don't realise this you haven't played enough hands |

LOL. It's never correct to fold the nuts. Show me the math then please. I once read a massive thread on 2+2 about being able to fold the nuts in omaha. The conclusion is that it's never correct, but there is some very marginal spots. Your spot isn't even close. -- Lol @ if you don't realise this you haven't played enough hands. You're playing 0.01/0.02 :$. ---

playing 1c2c because I withdrew my roll to pay for living costs, my regular game is 25PLO or 1/2 PLO live
anyway my back door equity is 2% or less in a 3 way pot with my hand there vs the assumed hands (assuming someone has either set/nuts or set/fd/gutshot redraw or set/two pair. In my head at the time it looked real close, I needed 35% equity to call, but doesn't the fact that my equity is nearly entirely in a chop mean the price im getting laid is actually about 2/3 less than the actual pot amount? link to PLO thread where it was proven that you don't need to fold the nut straight on the flop plz.. ridiculous. There are rare situations like this that occur every now and then that warrant it imo. man, the whole side pot deal makes it hard to work this shit out :/ |

sorry, I think it went he limped or something, I made it 500. he calls. Flop is all hearts. I bet like 2/3 - 3/4 pot. He flats. turn 5 non hearts, we both check, river 5 hearts... gives me nut flush. I check river, he pot bets. Yeah i didn't time bank like these people do in tourneys as I pretty much knew (or assumed maybe im in the wrong here) that there are still a lot of hands i beat that do that. Not very often bluffs, top pairs, 2 pairs, some of the time the lower flush VS the times he did flop a set (he did play it like that), but i needed to win 1/3 - 3k call to win 9k pot. So yeah I called. ---

Yes, I should lead the river, makes the hand 100 times easier to play.. 3rd nuts on river get shoved on for like 3x pot, easy river fold given how i played it? not really any reads on villain

Final table of a $2.20 rebuy 15k prize pool, 2.5k first. The hand that led from me being 2nd in chips to busting in 8th.. fun. Villain was aggressive and had a high steal %. He usually raised 2.5-3x with marginal hands, firs ttime id seen him min-raise, actually thought he'd be strong. Think it's AA but does he shove river with AA for value?
Lost a flip 55 vs AJ after then 77 ran into 88 as shortstack. So utterly dissapointing at the moment, felt like I was def shipping this one , measly $250. I donked hoping he would spazz out so maybe I should just ship the flop. For some reason I decided to play this hand differently than I usually wouldve (3bet/cbet or c/c flop if i flat pre).. this decision ended up making the hand ridiculously confusing. fmlPokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, 2.2 Tournament, 20000/40000 Blinds 5000 Ante (8 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com UTG (t389721) UTG+1 (t1075128) MP1 (t1728111) MP2 (t419095) CO (t272834) Button (t2518770) SB (t2895889) Hero (BB) (t2319952) Hero's M: 23.20 Preflop: Hero is BB with K , Q![]() 5 folds, Button bets t80000, 1 fold, Hero calls t40000 Flop: (t220000) 8 , 4 , K (2 players)Hero bets t110000, Button raises to t720000, Hero calls t610000 Turn: (t1660000) 5 (2 players)Hero checks, Button bets t480000, Hero calls t480000 River: (t2620000) 6 (2 players)Hero checks, Button bets t1233770 (All-In), Hero folds Total pot: t2620000 Last edited 2 May 2012 at 8:49 am by vin` |

I was 1/13 with about 30% of the chips in play 7k for 1st... went out in 11th as for the hand... sheesh tough spot, fold is good I think, you are not beating much hands, a worse K maybe or lower pair ---

I'm not sure if the guy was a spazztard or if he was just a good aggressive player. The flop raise seems so huge though, like my donk bet made him spazz and raise so big, I almost think I should ship flop.
Also had this pretty lolworthy hand on the same table, I have AJs, raise in mid position to 50,000 (blinds 10k/20k), folded to BB who 3bets to like 150k, I flat with position. flop 727 I have a FD. He leads strong, I flat because I don't think I have fold equity with a raise. Turn Qd. He checks I check back because I think his check there is either 99-JJ or AK with a small possibility of QQ. So I check back to get paid off on the river and the river is a 7 (Board 727Q7), He leads out 400k and I make a terrible tilt call cause I can't believe the 7 came down |
