i'd also love to get another dog. ^returned to my room and found her napping on my bed (naughty dog!).

May I ask what breed and what the situation was?

The attacking dog was an American Pit Bull, partner was taking him for a walk in Waltham (he is also always on a lead), she knows the area fairly well and purposely walked a route that avoids other dogs in the area, she walked past a house with a gate wide open and no owner around, the dog came running out of the driveway onto the footpath and latched on to my dog, my dog definitely ended up worse off. The hole in the head was the top of his mouth, and the bottom of his mouth was around the ear, which is also a bit damaged (hopefully just surface damage). Took a few minutes for a neighbour to run out to try and help and then go into the house where the dog came from to get the owner, then the owner couldn't get his dog off straight away either. Eventually got them separated, partner took him to the vet straight away, gave him a couple of morphine shots and some antibiotics etc, cost $120 all up, she went back around to the guys place to let him know, turns out he didn't even live at the house, was just visiting and left his dog roaming in the front yard. He said he would pay half the vet bills later that evening but never showed up. Not fussed about the money as such, but was kind of hoping he'd contribute purely to be taking some kind of responsibility for the situation.

Shouldn't you be reporting this to the SPCA or some sort of animal control people?

That dog could be dangerous to other dogs especially when the owner is not giving two shits about the situation.

This is Snout. Teaching him some patience with his snacks on his paws, I think he's doing a good job

He's an ex pig dog, finder/bailer. 3 years old now, he's boxer/whippet/airedale and what looks to be some kind of collie somewhere in his lineage, certainly not directly from mum and dad!

This be my puppy dog Koda. She's 8 months now. Very spoilt.
