It would be interesting to see how life would be without a monetary system in place. More from the point of view of people not needing/wanting to keep up with the Jones etc.

How would not having a monetary system change that?

Anyway, my goal is to finish this damn project I'm working on so we can sell it or the product. Every time we think we're close to being ready to sell this fricking thing a new problem jumps out and weeeeee more r&d.

Time for my (slightly late) 3 month update. Only 1 deal done so far, $62k profit. We're 1/4 of the way through the year already and I'm not even halfway what I need to achieve my for my goal by now, but a couple of recent purchases should help somewhat in the following 3 months. Mostly my laziness that slows me down.

How's everyone else tracking?

I think I would be happy if
A.I help sale 10 positively geared investment properties to clients (7.5% yielders).
B. build my mortgage broker company client database up another 120 clients over 2013 (currently 30 this year),\
C. have 250 referral agents for my introduction commission Program. (I've got 80 in a period of 4 months so far)

2nd deal done. Extra $36k. Makes my total for this year $98k.

Bit late to this thread. After many years of wantrepreneaurship, I've taken the leap and will be starting a business soon with family. Mummyloan of $12k (Actually, not a loan, capital as she will have 40% company share). Got some web developers doing their thing, incorporated a company, lawyers to draft lawyery stuff, and setting up the bank accounts next week.

I'll report back here in about a month when it's hopefully up and running. Low end projection of $100k turnover with a silly profit margin, high end would hit 7 figures. It's a service the industry is screaming out for, but no one has done yet. Pretty nerve racking stuff, but exciting much the same!
