Well, after reading the review it seems like its only a half-arsed port which is a shame as this game was critically acclaimed a few yrs back. I cannot believe the ai of the cars is crap as in the DC/Arcade version they do avoid you if you are motionless on the track. Such a shame that the right anolog stick isnt utilised for brake/accelerator as well. Shame on the coders. _p

And Yu Suzuki personally overseed the porting to PS2. Oh well, so much for the reputation of AM2.

Will it be at BBS3? Like... ready for a test drive?

Thats even more disappointing to hear, sheesh, maybe they are having probs programming for it. The original arcade game and DC used the same hardware so a port was fairly simple, but this...... ![]() ---

I loved the DC version.
Half assed ports suck They had plenty of time to do it justice aswell. |

All the pre-release media made it sound like it was going to be a Ferrari fan's GT3. Shame really eh?
Joe Racer, yep, the game will be at BBS3. I assume that's what you're asking. I doubt you're asking if a real F355 will be at BBS3!!! ![]() Although, i do have a mate who's a mechanic for Continental Car Services ... ![]() With racing games, i prefer to use a wheel everytime, but if i can't, i want to get as much control as poss out of the Dual Shock. No analog acceleration and braking is crime as far as i'm concerned. |

Were you a Negcon fan in the psx days Orph? That was one awesome controller. It took a little getting used to, but once sussed you could dominate in two player over the standard pad. ---

Never used the NegCon. I think it was only usable with Namco racing games, and i wasn't touching that hunk-'o-crap Ridge Racer series.
I tried several wheels with my PS1 - hell, the girlfriend had bought me a Vix Driving Seat and a MadCatz wheel for a birthday prezzie!. I gave up on PS1 wheels, as i reckon they were all shite, including the MadCatz one. So the Vix sat in a cupboard for over a year while i waited for the PS2 to come out, and then for GT3 to come out. I really like the GT Force wheel that i bought with GT3. Good to see that developers have realised that the Driving Force ain't flash, so are developing for the Force. F355 supports the GT Force, but the force feedback on it is weak as. |

I cant think of any driving games it wasnt compatible with. Off the top of my head it was compat with GT1/2 Wipeout (All 3 of them) NFS series, the Formula One games. I dont think I ever bought a driving game for the psx that wasnt Negcon compatible.
Well, althought I know that Motorhead wrote the original "Orgasmatron", it was Sepulturas version that I heard the other day which had been a long time since I had heard it. "I am mars, the god of war, and I will cut you down" ![]() ---
