Personally i think it would be a huge blow for the bulldogs if he leaves over something so stupid, he is a good forward and they have already lost Shrek to the roosters.

Basically he is upset that the club wont release him to play a boxing fight, and the CEO has said he is not bigger than the club and that he can leave. Apparently Mason has deferred contract payments throughout the season at the dogs so that they can remain under the salary cap. He is rumored to be on 400k. So Mason has taken offence to all this and wants to leave, threatening that he will take other players with him. Sponsors are also not so confident about the future if media frontman Mason leaves the club.

Oh and the latest article has the roosters interested in him which would be pretty sweet i dont think any NRL club could afford his 400k salary though, i reckon he wll do 1 off match payments or a small contract if he does stay, so that he can play in the world cup, then he'll shoot off or change careers :P

Bulldogs would be right to sack him. No doubt he is a valuable asset as a player but his arrogance is too much to put up with. And he gets offended by claims he thinks he's "Bigger than the club" when in reality thats exactly what he thinks. He thinks he should be able to do whatever he wants there and still be treated better than the rest.

I wish they'd name the other 3 who said if Willie goes they'll leave too, I want to know who these morons are.

That said I don't think they will sack him, but he's still an ass...

Strong words, but I'd probably take that stance too... Willie Mason is the biggest retard in the game. Thankfully he'll never join the Warriors.

Although I think Wiki is signed for a couple more yet, same with Price (who is actually worth the money they are paying him!).

Nah there's no way I could support a muppet like Mason. Good player but has pissed me off for far too long for me to ever support him. Thankfully he will never join the Warriors.

How are your feelings on him Sportacus? Reports are that if he does end up leaving the Bulldogs its very likely he will be in Sharks colours.

He wants to be in the media, he wont get the coverage playing in NZ.
