Loale, if you saw the abortions that some people have made of Alfas in Europe, you'd probably be more accepting of that one :p

It's a 164 too, they're the crappy ones. They're worth about $2-3k tops - there's no reason to do that to one. Plus he made it look infinitely worse.

I saw a brown one similar to that the other day, with standard rear lights. Big bore and mag wheels.

It looked so stupid I wanted to LOL IRL TBH.

There's about 6-8 of those Triumphs outside and on a property on Pt Chev Rd, as you go towards the beach. They've been there for years.

They can both look and go damn well if you do them right though, my mates dad runs a really nice Mk 1 version in the Narva tours for the Targa, it's a pretty damn sweet car.

How long have you been searching for? I've seen literally hundreds of U12/U13 turbo Bluebirds listed on Trademe over the past few months. ORG can back me up on that one, he usually spots them the same day as I do.

I know for a fact there's a white turbo U13 on there right now, for $6k.

there's also this. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Lis...spx?id=97801986

A few months. They're been a couple of semi decent ones, but they're usually picked up very quickly.

The main problem has been that the majority have been auto (such as that U13), which makes a little part of me die inside. I'd like to avoid having to do a manual conversion if I could avoid it, but its getting harder to dismiss that idea.

That U11 doesn't do it for me, and with the bonnet scoop, tends to stand out. I'm looking for the complete sleeper look, if I can get away with it. Admittedly, every manual I've seen with exception of a couple of U12s seems to be as inconspicious as an elephant in a crowd of penguins (ridicious mags, tachos, loud BOVs; why do the wiggas get them?).

Kind of guttered I didn't go for this one, http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-M...1879967.htm?p=5 . It was auto, but only went for $2500 or so.

Admittedly, a manual conversion might be the way to go, especially where it concerns the gearbox. ORG provided me a good chunk of information on there cars, and IIRC (forums crash pwned the original PM), one of the main things to watch out for was the bearings in the box. Have the box opened up and checked, and if in doubt, get them replaced.
