Wastegates vented to atmosphere are for wankers. It just shows everyone that you are thrashing the **** out of your car and going as fast as possible. Including the cops.

I saw a libero go past yesterday, wastgate absolutly screaming, and it was slow as ****.

Just disconnect the vac line to the wastegate.

Problem fixed.

Mine sounds similar to the one in the vid but my exhaust sounds gruntier/louder so the wastegate doesn't sound so obnoxious along with it, I also don't have a ***gy sounding BOV like that
Besides, you don't hear the wastegate really unless you are WOT at full boost and it's really loudest in 3rd/4th gear WOT at which point nobody is really worrying about what the wastegate sounds like because you're going so fast.

My mate has a turbo type R.. wastegate + vtec = very loud/weird sound

i quite like the sound of a factory wastegate or a very quiet BOV - i think it adds character and makes you think "hmm that ****er has a hair drier strapped to his car"

but ****s that go out and buy the loudest BOV - install it wrong and drive round and round thrashing the shit out of the car just to show off the amount of nosie they can make to people that dont give a **** can fall into a pit for all i care

then there are the tards that install fake BOV's and somehow think that adding a $4 part to their GL laser adds 5K to the sale price can also fall into the pit with the noisy BOV prat
