I have an hp pavilion laptop it's a dv6. Just surfing the net and downloading makes my fan boost and i seem to get a really hot computer. Here's a screen shot of temps.

if that's accurate on the cpu then definitely. /but/ sometimes these programs can use the wrong divisors. (and hence be inaccurate) check in bios to compare.

the hard-disk temperature looks fine. but that'll be through SMART rather than motherboard sensors, and is more standardised.

All DV6s heatsinks suck and fill up with dust, likely needs new thermal paste and a good clean.

Sweet thank you both for feedback! I will try and clean it and apply new thermal paste. Want to game on it just don't want to fry it lol
