Dude, chill. While I have no interest in paying for these I am sure there are people who would love to play early versions of potential games, just to experience something not normally available to consumers. I dont see how this is even remotely moronic. If there are people out there who want to pay and play these I dont see the harm, and I certainly dont think these people are even remotely moronic. TBH many of them are probably the next level up on the hardcore gamer scale, the hardcore obsessive types... you know like you and me only turned up to 11.

It's an annual event that they do anyway, they've just decided to let the public in to see how the process works and raise some money for charity at the same time. Probably after the success of how the kickstarter went.

It's amazing how quick some of these projects are being whipped up.

Fallicious. No one said it was only for charity 100%. There is the option for charity. And whats wrong with giving money/supporting to a dev you like? knee-jerk with an emphasis on the jerk. Another way to vote with the wallet, and at the end of the day thats the only vote that counts.

It it really so bad that they (and humble, and charity) tap into this, this optional product? Are they going to buy hookers with the income from this? Likely it will go to pay for the live streams etc all the crap the public gets freely, and the remainder gets funneled into making the prototypes or developing the chosen game. Again it's pretty impressive what a small group can do in 2 weeks. They all visually look fantastic.
