It makes perfect sense but I don't think it's "proper" - I guess it goes back to the fact that "Mythbusters" is a singular noun and not a plural - so removing the s turns it into a new, undefined word.

Government heads towards ban on microbeads

About 100 personal care products in New Zealand have microbeads. It's estimated about 0,000 tonnes a year of plastic microbeads are used globally.

The problem I have with Stuff is there fact checking methods are non existent (but what can one expect from a click bait site?).

While they've removed the link, the front page of the DomPost featured a downed traffic light in Wellington, caused by the nights fierce wind!

Nope. It was a truck that knocked it over.
