it's not a computer store sale unless everything is out of stock before the sale starts so you don't have to sell anything for cheap
Out of stock, or just a couple of units.

Assume this counts as a "tech deal," but Fitbit Charge 2 on special for $206 at JB Hifi. Just the black model for some reason, the other colours are still the full price of $269. Been using a Garmin Vivofit (the 1st version) for a couple of years so decided to upgrade to this. The guy said they couldn't do this price on the other colours as it was way below their cost (whether that's true who knows?). Must have a large supply of the black one and maybe it's less popular, but it hardly matters since the band is interchangeable anyway and you can just get another colour off Trademe later if you want. Noel Leeming have them "on special" for $249 and Harvey Norman for $248 so this is the cheapest I've seen it.

It is only in size large as well - I grabbed one, cheers for posting.

It is on special for $229 at the Warehouse, so I doubt it is "way below their cost". That said, it is a good deal, works out to pretty much the same amount if you convert the US RRP straight to NZD.

I don't understand the point of fitness trackers... surely you know if you are fit or not?

And if it tells you that you didn't sleep well what exactly do you do with that information?

  17. Post
You could also get warehouse stationery to pricebeat that price from JB Hifi for another 5% off

I have multiple pieces of fitness equipment and a couple of mountain bikes, it is good way of tracking my progress across all of them in one place, also helps with goal setting and gives you a nudge when you're being lazy.

What's the cheapest price ever for fitbit charge 2 locally?

  20. Post
Yeah not so much needing to find out whether I'm fit, more that I'm a numbers guy anyway and as I do various different types if exercise (gym, boxing, tennis, football, the odd walk/run etc) I find it interesting to track progress and see how each differ in steps/calories/distance/heart rate etc. I've never used them to track sleep as I don't find it comfortable to sleep with a watch on.

The $206 was the cheapest I have seen it. I notice JB Hifi are having one of their cost + GST sales tomorrow so would be interesting to see the price of these after the guy told me it was way below cost.

  22. Post
$215 was its previous cheapest price last Boxing Day, its average price is $263.

  23. Post
I just rang them up to check the price today with their cost + GST one day sale, and it is still the same price ($206).
