The game planet email for this article says it's a Kiwi in the subject and in the email content also but then this article says it's an Aussie.

This. Moving to Aussie doesn't make you Aussie.

It's nice to see an indie who knows to keep the scope of their project as small as possible and within their own limitations. Most bury themselves.

Is the game a pile of shit? Is that why Matt Maguire feels the need to make the majority of the article about the game developer and his identity, age, nationality, etc rather than describing the game?

Man, why are you always so bitter? Its a story about a 16 year old kid from NZ getting a game into Greenlight. Stories like this are what will inspire people to become game developers "Hey if this kid can do it, then maybe I can to". Not every single article on this site has to focus on a game, sometimes its better to focus on the human story behind it.

View the article in the forum and the headline switches to "Aussie teen", change the country from NZ to AU and the Headline changes as well... sneaky..

He's a Kiwi living in Aussie - have fixed the headline issue.

We celebrate local successes here, and if they make you feel inadequate, I suggest you work on yourself rather than attacking others

Yeah, localising to give the kid maximum exposure. We can claim he's both I reckon

Good article, great to see some local game news. Hope the kid does well, he's obviously got way more motivation than I ever had
