I'm surprised they'd let you play with a ping that high.

Depending on the netcode, it can be an advantage - especially if you understand it. Any shooter priority gives advantage to the peeker and you could kill someone before they see you as one example.

the problem is, you are harder to hit sometimes when your ping is high in quick shooters. whats bad is when australians get there and have no ping, it makes them suck because they usually adjust to latency. GL to him tho

275 ping? Is the server based in northern russia or something?

I'd expect around the 100-150 mark for an aussie to the US.

this, they should have never let him compete, its unfair for other players as they can get issues with the client not updating in time and their bullets that hit him actually missing him
