    Thread: Japan

As an alternative, China can be pretty good for a working holiday. The pay vs cost of living is much better over there, work culture is more forgiving in terms of hours (depending on where you get a...

Informed about what? If the only value you see in reading fiction is to try and glean some semblance of historical accuracy from the story then I think perhaps you're missing the point.

Congrats on the pass! Any thoughts on a new bike?

Thread: What did you do to your car today?

+1, car was much quieter after putting 003s on, although that was coming from some weird low profile off brand tyre.

This mightbe of interest to any of you lot that work with motorcycle carburetors. I've been chasing a low RPM rich condition on my NC30, and discovered the worst emulsion tube wear I have ever seen. ...

    Thread: [FFXIV] Gameplanet Player List

I am just now downloading this again to have another look at it. I played the original a bit, and then gave ARR a go, but it felt too clunky and unpolished.

    Who still plays?
    How has it developed...

Thread: What did you do to your car today?

Disassembled carbs for a good clean.
I've been chasing a 3000 rpm hesitation for a little while. The issue is that these bikes are very sensitive to changes to the fueling, so you gotta make sure...

    Thread: PlayStation VR

You do need to adjust the headset to the right position for yourself. Unless I have mine quite snug up against my head and at the correct angle it is a little blurry. Just gotta find the sweet spot....

    Thread: Another 3.0r Legacy thread

Recently bought one, it's been great so far, although it's a SpecB and the bilstein shocks have started to wear and sometimes make slight bumpy noises at low speed. Quoted $350 per shock for a...

Anyone in the Waikato interested in doing a short motorcycle tour sometime? I organised one a few years back which was awesome, about 5 of us went from Hamilton to Cape Reinga over a few days,...

Nice, I've almost got A or S on expert for every song, just missing one or two of the newer ones so new content is always welcome.

    Thread: Christchurch terror attack

The standard I was referring to is that opinions on the acceptability of freedom of expression for a historically prevalent (in New Zealand) religion like Christianity are very different to opinions...

    Thread: Christchurch terror attack

No. It's meaningless to call it a double standard in the first place, because they're not equivalent.

As I stated quite clearly in the post you seem not to have read.

    Thread: Christchurch terror attack

Being 'anti Christian' usually involves being 'anti religion' and when it occurs within a society in which Christianity has been the dominant religion it doesn't really have any serious negative...

    Thread: Christchurch terror attack

You're making a distinction here between a perceived 'us' and 'them'. New Zealanders who are also Muslim are just as much 'New Zealander' as you are.
If it's OK for certain politicians and...

    Thread: Christchurch terror attack

I guess the point we are disagreeing on here (and correct me if I'm wrong) is that the benefits of practicing inclusion by participating in the 2 minutes of silence during the muslim call to prayer...

    Thread: Christchurch terror attack

This is kind of a moot point, as the two do get lumped together when people are intolerant of one or the other. Lots of people from particular ethnic backgrounds follow particular religious practices...

    Thread: Christchurch terror attack

Well the overall point of this event was to promote unity and inclusion in the face of a tragedy, which (barring some special cases) I think it has probably done quite well.
    If nothing else, perhaps...
