    Thread: The VR Dream

Hey there. I bought a Rift DK1 in 2013 and a Vive in 2016. I don't use my Vive much these days either, and I got little use out of my DK1. I was wondering what your reasons were for not using the...

    You are wrong.

I have an 8GB Sapphire RX 480 and a Vive and it works perfectly. The RX 480 was made to be an affordable VR card and it meets Steam's recommendation for fluid VR. I have no frame...

Douchey. How are they able to enforce this? Are they just going to stop international backers changing their address to a US one, or are they going to actively compile a list of addresses that will...

You have to try Rec Room if you haven't already, best multiplayer experience at the moment imo. I think Realities is pretty interesting as well, it lets you explore 3D scanned environments.

So it has finally happened. I remember seeing people talk about this on Reddit a long while back, questioning how long it would be until something like this came along. People claim sexual assault in...

Hmm, anyone know if an HDMI cable can cause artifacts like mentioned above? Why would the guy not just swap the cable out?

I supplied a scan of my license, I called up to ask about the progress of my application because there were unusual delays when I did it, and the guy said "most people forget to include their ID". A...

^ Good advice, I didn't know about this until it had arrived. It took a few days to clear once I submitted the form, so I'd recommend filling it out in advance and allowing a few days for it to be...

According to the Youshop calculator, if the package costs $799 USD, weighing 9.07 kg at 70x53x33 cm, the cost is expected to be $251 NZD (which includes $6 high value surcharge).

    Youshop is...

If you buy from the HTC Vive site you select your region, and the product you are sent has the appropriate adapters for your country.

You do not get a range of adapters so you will end up with the...

I wanted a Rift originally but I'm not too excited about their focus on seated experiences, or Facebook predictably using it as a vessel to get more data on people. You can argue that the Rift can do...

You can import it yourself for around $1550 depending on currency conversion. It's worth it if you are into VR, real nice piece of kit.

True. Perhaps the best thing to do is to consider VR as it's own new category of digital experience, instead of trying to equate it as a new phase in gaming or watching movies. I think even if VR...

I haven't had a chance to use the Vive yet but I found myself feeling exhausted after playing 20 minutes of a horror exploration game back in the Rift DK1 days**. You definitely "feel" the game and...

Mmm I saw that Mighty Ape listing when it was available too, and I was disappointed at it. I'm hoping that is just a case of pre-order price gouging. I hope in time it levels out to more like $350...

The consumer Rift is meant to accommodate for glasses quite well now, which couldn't be said for earlier versions.
