But seriously, sucks dude Thought I'm sure you wont have any problems finding a new job.
The last time I was out of work, I was getting turned away from shit such as nightfilling in the supermarket - because they'd read the positions I'd had and think "WTF -waaay to over qualified and probably won't stay long". Nothing more infuriating than that.

I've been in this one just under a year.

Lie? seriously for a position like that I would just put "studying" on my CV, practically guaranteed the job.

    Sorry to hear that dude.

I'm a graphic/website designer looking for work in Auckland and I'm having a hard time finding employment.

At my current job, we've had nearly 30 applicants (which is big for Rotorua), and it's so surprising to see that most people are over qualified or extremely talented. The job market must be tough right now

Best of luck for the future. You got a website with your portfolio?

Wait, does being an OD moderator count for anything in the real world?
Counts as volunteer work, you just have to replace the term "online forum moderator" with "mediator of disputes".

More than ever right now; its about WHO you know, not WHAT you know. I got a foot in the door then tried as hard as I could to keep that ball rolling, and now I'm home free

Man, wish I could do something Manc, but CHCH is soo far away, no hook-ups I have would be able to give you a hand Maybe tell a potential employer that you will work for free for a while, or for half price?

I would hardly call waving the banstick around mediation. Its the equivalent of beating people over the head until they are unconscious to solve disputes.
