That title goes to Underground 2.
    Agreed.

I thought the love for Most Wanted would be mainly due to rose tinted nostalgia, I remember jamming it on the PS2 with much fondness myself, but going through it now I can say that no, it is one of the greatest arcade racers of all time, of all time. Makes Undercover seem totally shit by comparison, and I can now appreciate why that game was panned so badly on release.

This is stock apart from a custom shader and about 200mb of high res textres. not too shabby for a 15 year old title:

Where does one purchase these old NFS games for PC?

  4. Post
Most Wanted, Carbon, Prostreet, Underground 1-2 and the classic back catalogue are not being sold anywhere in a shocking display of corporate ineptitude

Undercover & Hot Pursuit are on Steam

All the recent ones are on Origin

I've just started Quake 4, seems pretty fun at the moment.
Aye, it was a good game. Like CoD in space vs. the borg.

Still on Shogo. I gotta highlight how good the soundtrack was.

Tried out the WH40K FPS from 2003, Firewarrior. It's rough man, very much a Poor Man's Halo. Definitely feels like the developer was short on budget and/or time. This feels very much like "another Red Faction", i.e. a FPS that feels far less technically impressive than even Half-Life 1.

The Tau have exaggerated Asian accents for whatever reason, like Mickey Rooney from Breakfast at Tiffany's.

The guns are inaccurate with a lot of spread, leaving auto-aim on is the best even for mouse users.

I played that through just to get to the bolters.

Currently playing Surviving Mars now that they've released the terraforming DLC. If you've read Red/Green/Blue Mars, or The Martian, and you like the city builder genre, then this is a game for you.
I've enjoyed Mars books, you've twisted my arm with these screenshots.

Also, I'm impressed you can find time for gaming. Truly.

The becoming half Strog part was awesome. I just hated the vehicle parts.

Been playing some San Andreas Steam PC, it's aged ok and it's pretty cool still.
Too bad it's probably the worst PC port in history, super niggly bugs and input scheme.
I'm hyped for GTA 6 which is meant to come out around the same time as the next gen consoles, however there are rumours it might be console exclusive, which i find baffling given the popularity and community around GTA 5 PC and mods/RP. I thought GTA 5 proved to Rockstar that the PC auidence is hugely valuable to them.

Big exaggeration there on "worst PC port in history", more so a product of its time. Gamepad support didn't really become decent in PC games until 2007, when Xinput came out with hassle free plug & play for Xbox 360 controllers.

    Use SilentPatch to fix bugs.

They almost always do PC ports later, so that they can milk people on double-dipping.
