ewww, once of them has yahoo toolbar installed.

$5 for a microtransaction to change the style of the fireball (example) that's a bit overpriced for an example of something as shit as a fireball.

I guess they're going off the pricing models of other F2P games.

You have to remember they aren't getting thousands of dollars in box sales.

Cerebralfix are about to open an studio in Montreal
    NZ gaming development going places.

If you haven't heard of them, they're a Christchurch based gaming company, specialsing mainly in iPhone and Facebook games (the biggest growing and most profitable sub-section of gaming atm)

    http://www.cerebralfix.com/index.php

Plug cuz my sister's boyfriend works for them lols.

Great to see other companies are going well as well. They are more gaming studios popping up in NZ now, it isn't just Sidhe anymore.
Protip: Design school grads should really look into employment in gaming design as it's growing in NZ.

Do they actually expect to make enough money from micro transactions?

Are Takapuna's Binary Star still around? They've never actually released a game.

Keen for this game, reminds me of some free fantasy game I played where you got washed up on the beach as well. That one was movement/turn based and had dice rolls for combat, but the world looks like it has a similar feel.

I like their idea that it's about you surviving and getting more powerful, rather than trying to save the world, something different.
