Blizzard really know how to make a good cinematic when they want to. Underscore "when they want to".

More like 'when they have time to'. Crazy to think how many man hours went into just that cinematic.

Actually Blizzard have two dedicated cutscene teams, an A-grade one and a B-grade one. The latter are responsible for weaksauce such as this.

believe me theyve been doing cutscenes for years that opening sequence probably only took maybe a month.

Your post suggested to me that you were saying that Blizzard only focus on a few tasks at a time with the "when they have time to" line. I'm just saying that it's not the case at all, since they have two dedicated cutscene teams and thus they aren't doing stuff like pulling staffers off of other things to work on them.

I was blown away by this opening cinematic, since it was actually decent from a writing stand point, compared to that horseshit Demon Hunter one.

    "YOU ALWAYS HAVE A CHOICE."
"NO. AS LONG AS I'M HERE, THEY ARE THE PREY... AND I AM THE HUNTER."
"...AND IF THEY KEEP COMING, I'LL NEVER STOP KILLING."
