It's not really smash bros style you can only do 3 hits using the normal button and then you do special moves that are supposedly combo moves. The enemies always rush towards you and spam their attacks while you can't do a single thing. In one battle with a boss dude he'd end up spamming all these special moves and kept on juggling me up in the air.

Isn't Dragon Quest XI a turn based Jrpg? I'm more of a Action Rpg guy.

Fair enough, I don't mind action combat as long as there isn't too much going on - FFXV was a good balance because it has such a wide FOV that you can see what's going on around you easily and there isn't too many enemy on screen at once - a lot of action rpg's fill the entire screen with characters and I don't like that. I also like turn based as it allows me to chill and look at my phone while playing

After a few years hiatus playing World of Tanks and Armored Warfare, I have come back to my original Civilization IV Mod - The Road to War Historical and I even made a slight update to the main scenario to improve its accuracy. - https://forums.civfanatics.com/resou...cenario.16298/

It remains my crowning gaming achievement, which is closely followed by my other mod - https://forums.civfanatics.com/resou...n-earth.21571/

Yes ... but it was too similar to Civ V which I did not like either. I much prefer the higher level of micro-management in Civilization IV in my own mod with 1,000s of units to manage and 100s of cities. The level of detail I put into my mod over two years is mind-boggling really.

To get an idea of my effort, required you should read my development thread ...

Proof that AAA publishers are now valuing the streamers and Youtubers over traditional games journalists. Russ Pitts, EiC of The Escapist is salty about it!

If I remember correctly, the first Crackdown game has auto aim. I got bored playing it. I wonder if that's why we aren't seeing much promotion for the 3rd Crackdown game as it's not actually all that good.

Pretty sure the first one didn't have MP though.

-EDIT- So it sort of did, but only 2 player co-op.

  19. Post
co-op was pretty big back then, every game wanted co-op mode just like every game now wants battle royal mode

For me it was the focus in the marketing on Terry Crews. Found it really cringe. Like I get why they did it but you know your games in trouble when the main focus is the star of the game and not the gameplay itself.

    Another quality MS exclusive lol

Thanks for that. Over 7,000 people have tried it too

Currently playtesting some fixes I did to my mod - https://forums.civfanatics.com/threa...l-1-05.641749/

It really is a mod for those who like WWII strategy games like HoI series, but like to play Civ IV as well.

Amazingly a decade after starting that mod, I still like playing Civ IV.
