Had fun pumping some volts through my 3770k. Sat at around 100c though.. At 1.6v @ 4.98GHz

    It won't take anymore jim!!

    Edit: Yes 125 not 1.25 . V was 1.25 :-)

    (ok fixed above) its 125*4.5 @ 1.25V :-)

    I couldn't get 100*4.5 working (crash)

    so I saw

Same motherboard/chip that I have and that's what they said to do and as it is Intel and they made the chips they must know the best

How did you get your Chip to 4.6? and is it stable?

100x46, yeah fully stable, I run it 24/7. I use Asus' adaptive setting too, so lower voltages when its at lower clocks, the volts peak at 1.28v when at 4.6.

I've had it stable at 4.8, but I dont bother keeping it at that cause it needs 1.4v.

    Shouldn't that be 4.9G as CPU-Z says?

Update: you can 4.8G one place and 4.9G another place :-)

I ran 4.9 for Cinebench, but only at 4.8 for the 3dmark.

    ah.. ok..

Isn't 1.47V like way over the specs and your likely to kill it?

Nope, the only thing that would kill it is the heat, but as per my other thread, I delid the CPU and temperatures dropped by 20deg.
But regardless, I'm running it at 4.6/1.28v for 24/7 setting. Only gets about 35-40deg under load since the delid.

Maybe you can run the Intel extreme tuning application and get a screen shot of it running the benchmark and also submitting your profile so others can use it :-)

I just tried your settings and the machine doesn't crash but it gets to 100C really quickly and throttles a lot at the moment.. (but I'm running on Air at the moment)..

FrozenCPU sent me the wrong acrylic tubing (UV Green and Green colours are quite different) or I would had it all water by now.

Delid your CPU! It was much easier than I expected.

Maybe delid.. A Hammer and vice looks really quick but razor blade looks safer.
