Rockstar have not released a PC port of a game less than 5 months, 15 days (TBoGT) or more than 6 months (Everything else) since GTA2. The timeframe between Console and PC is therefore highly dubious.

I suspect that as they originally planned to release GTA V on March 26 2013 (but then it was delayed to September 17 2013) they were probably planning a PC release for "Fall" at that time, before the delay. It seems that Nvidia didn't get the memo that the PC release would be delayed also, to leave a gap.

Who knows, might all be rubbish. If anything, it is a glimmer of hope for those scared that a major GTA release would be missed on the PC platform for the first time ever, which I think is even more unlikely in the current state of PC gaming.

    Backtrack? http://www.maximumpc.com/nvidia_hint...eft_auto_v2013

UPDATE: Nvidia has contacted Maximum PC to clarify its GTA V slip up, the email reads, “Please note, during our Thursday’s earnings call, our investor relations team provided a list of important games that gamers are looking forward to on PC this fall, and included Grand Theft Auto V on that list...This statement was made with the intent of expressing enthusiasm for the games industry in general, and was not intended to represent specific knowledge possessed by Nvidia. Nvidia does not have information on any possible PC version release of Grand Theft Auto or its availability. We deeply regret the error.”
Sounded too good to be true

Or, Rockstar contacted Nvidia and game them a good slapping and told them to retract the statement?
