    That was pretty bloody awesome, this game went from 0 on my rod of hype, to a rigid 8 (that's up there in terms of rod-firmness).

    We set up in a mates garage a few times a year

    Some games still have Local network support, others you just go through whatever online system it forces you to use.

    More modern games should support local LAN play. You shouldn't have to experience any latency issues with people in the same room as you.
