I should really look this up, are there time restraints involved? ie if i go into it now and hunt down one on the list from 2013, will it still be there and available? or will they have expired in some way?

Some regions may offer different titles depending on market availability.
Anyone know if this applies to NZ?

When trying to get Dark Souls I get this

You have no valid payment options on file.
I have XBL Gold, why is it asking me for payment on something that should be free?

yeah did that with me when i took my credit card payment option off, so i put it back on for the free games.

its annoying cos i know 1 of these days i'll prolly go to get a game for free but be out by a day and pay for it

It is free, but they must require a valid credit card just for the sake of it. Apple AppStore is like that as well if I remember correctly.

Just downloaded Halo Spartan Assault as well.

Is it? It didn't look that appealing, may give it a jam though.

Ive been with xbox live now for 6years now, and i personally think people like myself (who have had xbl more than 2years) should get more stuff like this. But i personal think the games they have for free are too old. most of the good games that come for free are ones that ive already got or just arent very interesting. I know PS has been doing a similar thing and from what ive heard they get a lot more out of it then we do.

I've been on Xbox Live for 9 Years. I should be getting lots of discounted games and stuff.
I don't think the rewards for being loyal are great at all

You get refunds depending on how much gamerscore you have.

I've been on Xbox Live since day -1. Like 10 years ago when they hadn't even set it up for NZ yet so they actually just sold us an Aussie one and said use this until we fix it for you country lol.

So all that and yet have never been offered anything for the loyalty, its always pissed me off considering PS+ had been around hardly as long and yet that was sooo much better 'free' game wise. I'm glad XBL is finally making steps towards being better value now (slowly still). They could have offered other stuff though for some hardcore users, anything instead of sh*t all.

Things like Charlie Murder not being available to us but not even noticing/caring isn't a very good start.

I'm mostly in the same boat, except I got it with the Crimson Skies + headset (a really crappy headset) pack when it first launched. I remember once they gave away some special X360s to those who had signed up from the start but that was an American only deal
