Hmmm hopefully now they've recognised it and fixed it in the pg279q, then they'll fix it in the MG279Q ?

Pity it requires sending the screen back

My MG279Q has actually been pretty good lately. I only ever get the vertical line issues now in Unreal Tournament. I gave up playing UT so now I don't have the issue

I used to get it in any game. Maybe cable switch fixed it (except for UT)

My screen was cutting out and going black lots too, but that turned out to be AMD drivers. The driver released this week fixed that problem.

    Things are looking up

I have just installed Sapphire Nitro R7 360 card. And it works absolutely fine with my MG279Q - 1440p@144hz with Freesync on.
small update: I spent a day with it, and didn't see any problems. It looks like this is not monitor issue, but a video card fault, at least for me. I am talking to Sapphire support team right now. I hope they have a BIOS update for my card.

I bought on of these a few weeks ago.Works great,no problems at all.
Apparently the quality control from ASUS was pretty shit for these monitors for a while.
