Panasonic TV's are not sold in the U.S
They sort of went downhill with Plasma panels and didn't fully recover.

They do now sell excellent OLED panels, but since they left that major market, it's left their brand awareness in a worse spot. They'd have to now compete with Chinese brands like TCL should they re-enter and with even more cheap OLED competition coming in the next 1 to 2 years, it will only get harder for them.

    Hey all,

Old shitty TV died so, quick question for the hive mind:

Looking at getting a quick replacement I found something fairly cheap that looks to have pretty decent specs for the price of $1280.

    Panasonic TH-55FX640Z / Panasonic TH-55FX600Z

Am I missing anything? Is there some hidden catch or are these ok.. anything better in the same league?

    Trying to stay under $1500

Massive news for TV gamers just out.

LG has partnered with Nvidia and 2019 LG OLED TV's, like my C9 will get a firmware update in a couple weeks that adds Nvidia G-Sync to the TV.

This also means LG's 2019 OLED TV's will become the first panels to support G-Sync over HDMI.

And going forward it's likely all LG TV's will support G-Sync out of the box.
