Finished the 2nd season, it's worth a watch, it gets weird in a good way. Would rate it better than the first season.
I can't say that I did, I just felt there wasnt that much of a surprise or twist in it.

has anyone noticed that the script tends to recycle Brit Marling & Zal Batmanglij's other project ideas. Im not sure if that is lazy as **** or just meta.

Getting worried for Stranger Things tbh this whole thing about cancelling shows after 3 seasons is getting ridiculous it would make more sense to invest in IP long term and build a fan base instead of cutting them short at 3 seasons just to save a bit of money now when long term investment will pay off and actually keep subscribers around If they cancel stranger things I cancel my sub. Its the only reason ive stuck with them. I'll just wait for Disney+ at that point.

Yeah it's pretty shit. They should decide before a show even goes to air how many seasons it will be & stick to it so they wrap things up properly. This only pisses people off & leaves a bad taste in the mouth. I'd be livid if they cancelled 'Dark' with it multitude of unresolved questions lol

Can't see Stranger Things going away anytime soon, it's their flagship show now with OITNB and House of Cards gone.

Bit sad about this, quite enjoyed this show.

I watched another BritZal colab today called The East.

    Not bad.

God dammit - don't think I've been this connected to a show since Roswell (yeah, yeah laugh it up).

"13 Reasons garbage is renewed and nobody asked for it yet a amazing, highly respected show like The OA gets cancelled."
    Epic.

Like others have said, S2 got a little wayward. Introduced fantastical ideas at pace that left me a little uneasy. But the story telling was brilliant. I trusted that they'd tell you what something meant a few scenes or few episodes later in natural dialogue. For me, the show was the closest thing to a comic book turned series I've come across with how the mechanics of narrative were treated.

Also was really impressed with how S2 could have played into S3. If someone turned a 'The Room' game into a show S2 would be it.

Here's a good article talking about why shows are getting cancelled after 3 seasons.

Theres some pretty wild fan theories on reddit about how the cancellation is an eloborate hoax that will work itself back into the TV series right now.
Would be pretty awesome if true, but sadly I dont think so.

Man the ending of season 1 really riled up quite a lot of people huh.
People either love it or hate this show it seems.

I think we all expected something a little more grandiose. We wanted irrefutable proof that they could travel and everything that OA has spoken about was true. However I still think the S1 was true to the story. It required faith.

Refresh my memory; were all the stupid dance moves just a diversion so that the school shooter went "WTF?" long enough to be taken out? Or have I missed the point of the whole show?

Have you watched Sound of my Voice? It's a movie by the writers of OA about a sympathetic cult leader which the movie has a pretty ambivalent approach to exposing her as a liar/proving she is truthful. I think the first season of OA was made in the same vein - the show doesn't fully answer this question about OA. I had this sense that the first two seasons of OA mirror the first two movies Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij made, which is kind of a weird parallel given that the third season of OA was projected to be about Brit Marling herself as one of the alternate universe Prairie Johnsons.

It's weird to think the viewership numbers of OA would be too low to continue making it, considering like 10 people have independently brought it up in conversation to me, which is more than most shows.
