Yep its definitely complicated as hell lol. I've watched the recap and first 3 eps of S2 and still a bit confused lol

Trying to remember everyone and how they all relate to each other in past, present & future is a bit of a misson lol.

Yeah started the first ep but couldn't remember enough about what happened... think I'll watch a recap or two

OH SHIITTTT HELL YEAH DAWG. But yeah, some kinda "all the characters in all the timelines for dummies" would be real handy.

  10. Post
Oh yeah and real fans watch it in German

  11. Post
I'm only half way through season one. Pretty decent show. Must crack on with it so I can start season two

I just binged both seasons in a few days, loved it.

How do you guys watch it, subs or English Dub? Took a while to get used to the Dub, but was fine after a couple episodes.

    Spoiler:

I watch the subbed version. I don't mind reading subs & it feels more authentic.

Pretty sure I had more questions than answers by the end of S2 lol. Hopefully they wrap it up in S3 before they go even further down the rabbit hole lol.

Reading interviews by the creators looks like it's wrapping up next season and questions will be answered.

Netflix is making a Cuphead series, I hope its not as frustrating as the game LOL
Coming to you in full color and cine-sound, it's...The Cuphead Show! Witness the wondrous Inkwell Isles as you've never seen them before in an original series inspired by classic animation styles of the 1930s. Now in production by the talented team at @Netflix Animation!

Anyone watching season 3 of the Crown. So damn good. Tobias Menzies was such great casting for Phillip. And Olivia Coleman is crushing it as Queen Elizabeth.

Yep. The original cast was excellent, but now it's even better.

the prince of wales ep was pretty good. I like how the writers flex what i assume is probably just a historical curiosity/footnote to do like an entire character arc per episode.

Was hoping V Wars was gonna be a revival some old school lizard aliens

So is The Crown actually good? Always dismissed it as as kind of Dowton Abby psuedo-soap. Worth checking out?

Yep. But then, I liked Downton Abbey.

Obviously its subjective personal preference whether you think it's worth checking out. Downton abbey had similar aspects in that it dealt with aristocratic people with restrictions on their agency, but the situations were different and the oppressive social norms they faced were different. Because of its subject matter, The Crown also has higher stakes. But even though it focuses sometimes on "pivotal moments" in politics, I think The Crown still works on both a small and macro scale in terms of how it treats characters at the same time as world events.

It probably isnt supposed to be viewed as a serious/historically accurate biography though since it's obviously dramatised, albeit not overly.

Finished season 3 of The Crown the other night. That finale... talk about being emotionally draining. Helena Bonham Carter was incredible.
