Huge luck stat tho. Next run took way longer and less loot. 2 legendaries in 2 days now, super happy.

2 massive issues in the HoR runs though, can't rejoin allies due to a barrier and for some reason one team mate couldn't res anyone.

HoR took maybe 15 minutes total on gm1. 4 masterworks at 61 power (45 was my previous max) and a legendary at 75. Holy shit.

Wait all current gear is bumped up too. Nice.
    loot was bugged aye

Maybe I just fail at reading patch notes but I was surprised to see my Storm's item score had shot up with all Masterworks going from 45 to 61. Low and behold, all of their inscription perks actually work now. DPS has gone through the roof.

Has anyone fought a titan since the patch? are they actually fixed?

I fought 4 titans last night in free play. They melted. What was supposed to be fixed, the fireballs? They seemed better, but it wasn’t such an issue as each Titan went down so fast. I guess they were lesser titans. Was at level 670 on grandmaster 2.

Fireball tracking, general hit detection, mysterious overheating when nothing is near you etc. Shit like that almost made me drop the game at several points.

I’m pretty sure they were better, but I’ve also got better at fighting them. I’m no longer trying to tank the appearing blasts. When I see a bit of blue in my screen, I dodge the f out of there. When he does tracking fireballs, I get behind cover. I wasn’t really playing defensively enough in the first week or two when fighting them. I was trying to dodge incoming fireballs and they hit me almost every time. I just don’t let that happen anymore.

I believe they only shrunk the radius of the fireball explosion closer to the actual size of the animation, not anything else.

I think Titans really come down to patience and knowing what a Titan will do.

Don't try to tank anything. Move a lot. Use your flight a lot. Hide behind something big enough to absorb the fireballs.

All these strats are great, My issue is that at least before the patch, Titans were so broken that it didn't matter what you did, you could get hit anyway. Hit through walls, hit without any visual or audio cue whatsoever.

I fought some titans today and have noticed a drastic improvement in the hit detection. The flow of combat is also just a lot nicer.

    this,

I've had a legendary titan spawn and just either vanish about 30secs later, or melt so fast i think they might have made it a bit over kill lol

Typical tone deaf response from bioware. Just waiting for EA to shut them down at this point RIP any plans they had for a knew star wars game.

Maybe I'm just used to years of getting zero response whatsoever from bungie over Destiny 1 and 2 but I think that reply was perfectly acceptable for the fact that he's a community manager that literally can't discuss information he's not privy to.

Anthem is nowhere near as dire as the youtuber hivemind is trying to paint it. Bioware has time to turn it around.

What exactly is your problem here? Because to me you sound like the very person that is looking to be outraged that they want to avoid.

Should I buy it now or wait for the big content updates in May? Anthem was going to be a day 1 purchase & I enjoyed the demo. Based on reviews I bought Dirt Rally 2 instead.

Most of the things in that video are still true though and yes there are now added issues since that video especially with loot drops the key part of the game. Bioware have noticeably pulled back from replying on reddit very different to before the game launched.
I only ever played this through origin access so no real loss for me but for anyone that bought this I hope for your sake this becomes a good game at some point. Most people I know that were playing this moved onto the division 2 and it seems to be same here at gp going by the activity in this thread and the division 2 threads

^yep, a few of us got it as a fill in before div2. Enjoyed it for the three weeks we played, we played it a lot and the game was fun. I’ve played about two lots of 30 minutes each since div2 dropped. Will pick it up and give it a go again in the future, probably when div2 dies away a bit.

still play this. its kinda turned into what a lot of mmo's and mobile games are as in "here is a list of things to do today and then you can log off".

i don't have a problem with the way loot is dropping like it seems 90% of the internet does.

i think they should have just named the legendary contracts and missions Heroic missions, it might have stopped alot of the moaning that people seem to think because they are called "legendary mission/contracts" that they should give you at least 1 or 2 legendary pieces of gear for just completing it.

-edit- biggest problem i have with the game is still the number of crashes and disconnects

I just got bored after the campaign. Came across as incredibly generic. Offered nothing new when compared to its competitors in the genre. Destiny 2 and The Division 2 are so far ahead.

And a very interesting read it was.

I found the part about "Bioware Magic" and a hockey stick style progress curve particularly interesting. The Bioware of old may well have worked like that but the Bioware of old would have delayed the game until it was ready, or at least close enough. I think the mandated, immovable release dates have done a lot of damage here, with another 6 months Anthem could have been awesome.

I also think the points about Frostbyte are very interesting. I get the sense of an organisation trying to realise the benefits of a consistent engine without having actually invested enough in that engine up front to genuinely gain those benefits. The points about competing with other EA games/studios for Frostbyte engineers was particularly telling.

Ultimately though the key point for me was the number of people who have left. As the article states we only hear about the really big ones but it's all of them together that make the difference. That says to me that Bioware now are not the Bioware that was and I shouldn't expect the same things from them no matter how much I might like to.

It's sad, but it's pretty clear.

The most revealing part of the article

It’s a story of a video game that was in development for nearly seven years but didn’t enter production until the final 18 months, thanks to big narrative reboots, major design overhauls, and a leadership team said to be unable to provide a consistent vision and unwilling to listen to feedback.
And it showed in the final product. What a shit show. Doubt well get any sort of sequel or followup. I expect EA to abandon Anthem by the end of the year.

So I'm guessing this game will be dead once Borderlands 3 drops...

It died(killed itself) pretty much not long after launch.

Only thing this game got right was the flying
