So at some point(probably pretty soon) someone is actually going to have to do something about this Trump issue because we are way too quickly approaching the point where he just....wins....

Like eventually a safety net designed purely to avoid a situation like this is going to kick in yeah? and don't say the ****ing elections because there are a millions way in how that can easily fail for example like when Trump won.

17 years to the day after the 9/11 attacks Nikki Hayley (us ambassador to the UN) vows that the US still retalliate if the Syrian govt and Russia attack Al Qaeda in Idlib (Syria)

    Really got to wonder.

3000 people died in Puerto Rico's hurricane last year (that number is disputed by the idiot-in-chief). Where's their 9/11.

Thousands were disappeared and murdered after the CIA-backed coup d'etat replaced the democratically elected government of Salvador Allende in Chile, on September 11 1973. Where's their 9/11.

    **** the USA.

They are probably the Chileans who removed other Chileans' stomachs so their bodies would sink in the ocean after being dropped from helicopters.

I think its more likely that their economy and political situation is the best in south america, they have little to complain about, despite your mexican style complaints

I think it's more likely you associate with equally fascistically minded people. All the Chileans I've met are leftists or socialists.

I'm surprised this thread isn't more active. 2 years on and I'm still fascinated by the chaos of American politics, I watch and read about it far more than the NZ news. At the moment it's the big shitstorm around the Supreme Court nominee and the Republicans refusing to do a proper investigation of the last minute rape accusations against him. The accuser is going to testify in a televised senate hearing next week and it's going to be great television.

The insanity around Trump makes a lot of people switch off. I don't think there's anything he could do thatd surprise me, it's all just symptoms.

It gets boring after a while, the people still interested are the people who watch Shortland street - y’all ain’t got enough drama in your life so you want to be involved in others business

I keep up to date with it on Twitter and really don’t bother discussing it here. I’m following about 90 journos/political commentators from the US. Like you, I’m watching it far more than NZ news.

Yesterday, for the first time, Fox News cut away in the middle of a live Trump rally feed to go on with one of their shows. They normally show the whole thing live, uninterrupted from start to finish. Today, they just had it in a small corner box of Tucker Carlson’s show. If Fox is moving away from him, he’s toast.

You don’t have to believe me, take it from a CNN host. I watch all sorts of news, not just one side

Its the US citizens/voters etc who hold's the real power, If they think the country has BENEFITED under Trump regardless of the actions or opinions of media outlets like CNN or FOX they will vote for him again period.

aren't his ratings constantly in the toilet lol

  21. Post
To be fair, his ratings haven’t moved that much. They’re not good, but they’ve been in the same ballpark for a while now. It’s the independents and women who will wreck him at the next vote (if he makes it that far).

I guess will have to wait and see. I would so love to be able to fast foward in time and see the results. I found my poll thread results on GP to be kinda irritating because it was exactly 50/50 https://www.gpforums.co.nz/threads/5...tion-yes-or-no

Take it with a grain of salt then ffs.

I thought it meant little initially, now I think it's totally irrelevant.

I noticed it yesterday as I was watching it live. They never cut from one of his rallies, doesn’t matter what show is on. I can only think it’s because he was doing three days in a row and he always says the same thing.

The very best Trump thing was the first time he went on Fox and Friends and just rambled and ranted about utter nonsense and the hosts looked so awkward as they tried to end it.
