    Epic Store severely lacks features but whatever. Doesn't really bother me.

    There is also the Microsoft Store which i presume would give the developer the bigger cut.

    It depends on the deal they sign but apparently the word going around with these type of deals is the devs sign off with epic at say 500k sold copies they get all of the profits and if it sells under that amount epic pay's for those copies themselves. so it is basically win win for the dev and is why so many are probably signing these exclusive deals

    Needs forums for their game. Always found it useful to just jump into a forum for the game in Steam and ask a question. Especially as the Devs would also usually post there.

    Reddit effectively serves this purpose. Devs usually watch their game's subreddits and post there, at least until the trolls scare them away.
