Video not available? Why'd they take down a teaser for their own series?
It's georestricted. There are two identical trailers - Amazon one only available in areas where it's being distributed by Amazon, CBS elsewhere.

Star Trek: Picard to stream exclusively on CBS All Access in the United States, on Amazon Prime Video in more than 200 countries & territories and in Canada on Bell Media’s Space & OTT service Crave.
So it may come to NZ out of 200 territories.

Do Star Trek androids have firmware? Just say it was a firmware bug or something. Or Androids just degrade over time. Another example of this is Arnold in Terminator Dark Fate they very obviously aged the t-800 and gave him some facial hair. How do they explain that. Do Terminators grow facial hair now? lol.
It might be a dream sequence. Data died in Nemesis.

B-4 is still floating around somewhere, and potentially has Data's memories

Did anyone else think Lal when the girl turned up in the trailer?

    Yup.

This Data's eyes have huge yellow irises. Must be dictated by the "at least 25% change" rule for using elements from Prime Trek. Picard and Discovery are made under Paramount's JJ Trek alternative licence, they aren't official canon to Prime Trek. (This might change if the Viacom + CBS remerge happens.)

I thought Picard and Discovery were made under CBS's TV license - there are arguments as to whether Discovery is Rodenberry canon, but I don't think there's a rights issue at play.

I'm betting he got uploaded to a holodeck or something...

You would think in this instance using CGI de-aging would actually be beneficial and not weird or just completely CGI Data and just have Spiner do the voice.

I wouldn't call Star Trek junk, but definitely redo Babylon 5.
I tried watching it again recently, but god it looks dated now.

Long time Star Trek fan here - have watched everything ever made multiple times. EXCEPT Enterprise. I'm not sure why I never started watching it - but the other day I was bored so started watching it on Netflix.

About 6 eps in and I really don't mind it tbh. Is it worth sticking with?

I like how all the humans are still reckless and intolerant.

Also T'Pol > Seven of 9, come at me.

Yes, i liked enterprise when i watched it a decade ago. Prepare to be disappointed when you run out of episodes.

Hoping they change the writers for discovery, that show is super pretty but the plots are so thick with forced emotional conflict and various other bits of bullsh!t i really had a hard time watching it, it hardly ever felt like Star Trek. More like SVU in space.

Also you're on, puffy lips and bowl cuts don't do much for me.

Yeah I'm in the same boat - I have a feeling I was too invested in SG-1 at the time and wasn't feeling it (also I think there was a bit of fan backlash about retconning much like Discovery has done).

I'm partway through S2 and don't hate it so far

Enterprise is good enough for Star Trek, the Andorian bro-mance was great fun.

Enterprise is fine. It gets a lot of hate but usually from the hardcore nerds who didn't like how the Vulcans and Archer behaved.

Almost finished S1 of Enterprise. I still like it. Archer is a bit of a one dimensional wet blanket though.
Liked the prison episode where he reunites with his old Quantum Leap buddy Dean Stockwell.

Jan 23 I think. Its also been renewed for season 2. I think they have given Patrick Stewart a 3 season commitment.
