    Going to play nilla spOOt?

With this one - I did my usual, 'play until max lvl and few raids' unsub. Thinking back it just felt like a troll DLC. I think they were going for a Orcs vs Humans vibe, meh.

Might see how bad it is. Nostalgia is good but I am not into the grind these days...current WoW feels good to me, just other things take priority and time so just do casual these days. Not sure nilla will cater for that :P

First time I tried WoW in Vanilla I quit in the barrens because of those damn quilboars lol

My first char got to lvl43 i think (fond memories of STV OP Shaman) before i moved on to other things.

Revisited nilla on a new account and joined QED as a Hunter around BWL, Onyxia days.

I think i'm on the same boat though - i've tried out some free vanilla realms over the years and it's ok - but i was afraid if i put in too much effort the server would get removed by Blizzard.
I also think the best aspect of Vanilla was 40man raiding, which i can't really see happening in little ole NZ on the scale that it once was, and committing to that as a 35yo casual gamer with 3 kids, ergh.

As someone who hasn't played since Mythic Uldir came out, is it worth coming back for the free weekend?

Just for the weekend I wouldn't bother, if you've got the spare time the current raid on mythic and >10 mythic+ dungeon keys are still a lot fun.

The best fun in the game (imo) has always been playing with regular team/guild and online friends and doing hard content.

My guild (jubei'thos) hasn't been able to get numbers for mythic BoD. Everyones transferring off to Barthilas.

Yeah smaller servers will be suffering, all about Barthilas for Horde and Frostmourne for Alliance.

It is pretty great already. They added new zones and raids with Azshara https://overgear.com/games/wow/raids...-palace/normal and it is amazing! I don't get why everyone is waiting for classic while current World of Warcraft is improving!

I'm in 2 minds and will only know once released.

On one hand, personally current WoW doesn't provide the sense of achievement I used to love. You can be geared to get straight into mythic raiding all too quickly for my liking. Ended up just rotating between alts until they were nearly at this point, while still raiding on main in mythic. Professions are almost irrelevant. Also a lack of community - maybe a generational thing and I'm showing my age?

On the other hand, I really don't think I'll have the time to dedicate to classic to get to that same point of gearing to raid, levelling professions etc etc. Very fond memories and hoping to enjoy it as prefer working for something. I'll just have to be more patient I guess!

Yeah for me Classic might just be a little nostalgic for a bit but I cant do 10hours+ a day gaming anymore.

Current WoW lets me do some alts and still keep up casually.

I can barely wait 5min for a group anymore....back in Vanilla we used to spent hours making a group and then travelling to the dungeon etc. Everything was new and exciting.

I am enjoying Retail enough to just Casually potter along. Did 7/8 Eternal Palace last night on Normal and its a pretty epic looking place with some interesting fights.

Operation Mech is also an awesome dungeon IMO.

I'm digging (and going to dig) the difficulty classic provides. Not in a raiding sense but just normal quests while leveling. It's super exciting because it's so damn hard, especially in a full on PVP environment.

Also actually using small upgrades and bank Alts to sell what would otherwise be shitty items on the AH instead of just bending everything.

Thought about re subbing prior to classic release but realized I cbf with BFA although I enjoyed legion. Will just get it on release.
