Ruru is mud - he's so slow to the ruck - if you watch the NPC final from last year his team mates basically give up on him and start taking turns at half back lol

Well he continued playing for Waikato after the incident without any blow back. They just had to take the approach The Crusaders did, keep him out of the public eye for quite awhile whilst dropping info about how hard he's working to redeem himself.

Ultimately shit like this always fades, people move onto the next thing to be angry about for 5 minutes.

Playing our best number 6 Fifita at lock isn't going to help fix our tight-five problem, also we signed up a South African lock a couple of weeks ago, he should be ****in' starting ???

If you can't beat the Chiefs at the moment, I don't like your chances against us again in 2 weeks

To be fair doesn't matter if any NZ team isn't going that well a NZ derby is always very hard yakka, our tight-five is probably the worst in the comp, every team tends to target our scrum, so really crucial that we're able to at least match the Crusaders in the lineouts, but especially at scrum time to give us a chance in a couple of weeks, how about we play that match without using lineouts or scrums HELL KNIGHT ?

As mentioned find it very strange that the South African lock we signed isn't available to play against the Chiefs, can only surmise, but hope they didn't sign him up knowing that he already had an ongoing injury hoping he'd be fit to play in this match ?

As a Canes supporter find it absolutely incredible that this franchise don't seem to give a stuff about the obvious weakness we have in the tight forwards area, peeves me off year after year, we have all these brilliant backs that are consistently on the back foot because our front five on most occasions are bloody useless.

You did see the Crusaders absolutely destroy them last week right? the only hard thing about that, would have been being a Chiefs fan having to sit though it...

It is their worst start to a season in 12 years. Remember they also lost to the Sunwolves for the first time ever, and got destroyed by the Brumbies. So again if you can't beat them at this point, you've got problems

  10. Post
Yeah, we should beat the Chiefs, never take any game for a given though... anyway, whether we beat them or not we still have big problems with the shite front five we have.

Have all the possession, territory and penalties for most of the first half.... behind by 7 points. Yup must be watching the Hurricanes play.

How about holding on to the ball for 4 seconds, try and build some phases and pressure? NAAAAAAAAAR! *throw it away to no one*

  15. Post
Tiatia is a very exciting fullback, he's a really good stepper & has a ton of pace, the bloke took a bloody poor option early on though trying to punt the ball down field when it wasn't on to execute gifting them a 7pointer, clearly was a match the Canes should've won, lost count how many times we were inside the Chiefs 22 but consistently stuffed up those attacking opportunities with knock-ons or turning the pill over... when BB Was interviewed after the match he was asked what he thought about the draw, he said, " it feels more like a loss " that pretty well sums it up.

I can see both sides of things; not wanting to let this prick interfere with our normal daily life anymore than he has already vs. the real impact this may have had on the Crusaders (and Highlanders too). Financially this game is probably the Highlanders biggest earner of the season too (think it was sold out), but that really is secondary.

Agreed. There is no right answer but personally I'd play on and show that you wont live in fear.

Would've liked to see the game obviously but don't think it was out of fear. It was out of respect for the dead.

What a joke, that's just typical of the Canes organization... because we didn't really hear anything about him thought it would be something like them signing him up knowing he had an ongoing injury, ludicrous !
