So there is a lot to read on batteries.

Will these do? Doesn't need to give me more runtime if I can easily swap batteries out.
That's the charger I had, quite basic but like I said I'll need to upgrade those later but I'm always around when it's charging so nothing dodgy happens when I'm not around. That lipo looks fine though.

this is the lipo I bought, but St4lk3r makes a good point. Make sure it's covered enough it's not going to get flipped upside down on and damaged, but luckily the spare tyre on the back and light bar stops a lot topside damage anyways.

How long does it take to charge roughly? I looked up the iCharger options but they're well beyond what I'm keen to spend.

Yeah I wasn't keen to spend much for a cheap car, but then again I've easily spent double on upgrades anyways hah.
From what I remember (haven't driven it in ages, waiting on a part), 1-1.5 hours or no more than 3? Can't remember cause I have so many other batteries I've been charging.

OK that isn't too bad. I've ordered the car + metal gears set as I read too many people having issues with the stock plastic gears.

Are there any decent chargers in the < $60 price range worth looking it?

Don't order stuff yet, wait to you get the car and feel what you need. Mine came with metal gears, yours may do already. That charger you linked before is what I currently have which does the job.

The seller I bought from had a more expensive option with metal gears, but it was much cheaper to buy separately, so I'm fairly certain mine will only have plastic.

I have a rear axle I'm not using that I have here. I ordered it and found out my internals were metal, but I guess you've already that piece?

The main drive shaft gear that goes to the axle is a bitch to remove, I never managed to get mine off, but by then I realized I didn't need to since it was metal already.

nah its a lot of fun its just smaller and lower to the ground, so causes it crazy fast it can get dinged up pretty bad on anything medium'ish in size. ie tree roots, clumps of dirt etc. Which is what happened and broke a few parts. I thought the Xmaxx would just eat that up and wanted a truck cause I guess I bash more than anything. So went and got one.

So I was given a remote controlled car a few days ago, a Traxxas T-Maxx or something, its nitro. Anyway, first time I opened it up it shredded up a tyre. So now I'm looking for a fresh set of tyres, or considering an entire wheelset off aliexpress. Only thing is, it uses a 14mm hub, which seems uncommon.

Does anyone know anything about these? Can I swap out the hubs for a more common 17mm hub and therefore get cheaper wheels off Ali?

I have been getting a few parts of aliexperess for the xmaxx, and its kinda hit or miss. Some of them are pretty good but then some of them get here and just plain don't fit.

I don't actually have a specific answer for your question though.

Lol yeah, a dude I do a lot of work related favours for.

Anyway, I was told to just glue the tyre back together and apparently itíll be fine
