which also lists Twilio as a URL. Which is a global sms service.
Thanks mate, so it could have come from absolutely anywhere...

Makes it so hard to pinpoint, grrrrrrrr!

Yep, having worked with sms messaging systems (and having used Twilio), there's not going to be any easy way to find out.

Your ex would have to report it to whichever provider she was with, not you as a random 3rd party. Even then they aren't likely to take it very far.

That adds to the difficulty as she was using her overseas number with WhatsApp.

    Thanks for the input bro!

I've just received a message from the ex saying that she believes me and there is no point wasting anymore energy on the matter, so at least that is a bit of hope.

    The digital age eh?

Before texting you had to phone some one and talk to them.

Jeremy Kyle; how many dramas do the white trash English scum have on that show because of Facebook?

I was anti Facebook for a long time, but now I love it! You just have to be smart about what you post, and be selective with your friends. IMHO.

    QFT.

I learned people can be anyone online and say anything.
Aaron-afk was right when he told me that you should talk and meet them in real life first before anything.

I use social media (ie Facebook) to talk to people I already know, not to creep on randoms.

This is so weird. Could it be a wrong number? Did the text mention you specifically?

That could be a fun trick. Sign up for one of those autotexter things. And dump, "John has been cheating on you, Rebecca" on basically every number.

Gotta be a good few Johns with Rebeccas out there.

It'll be like that personalised Coke promo where they put names on Coke cans, except evil.
