    new build time..

finally its time for a new pc..

    CoffeeLake i7 9700K 8C 4.9GHz
MSI MPG Z390I GAMING EDGE AC (m-itx)
Phanteks Evolv Shift X TG Grey
    TRIDENTZ RGB 32GB 3000MHz RAM
1TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVME
    Corsair SF600 Modular GOLD
    CM ML240R RGB AIO Cooler
    Gigabyte RTX 2080 Ti 11GB

    and Windows x pro

reason I went itx is obviously the case and the fact I don't need more than one video car and I don't see me using more slots within the next 5 years

I plan on upgrading the WC to something more customised later in the year.

Nice rig, you not going to wait for Zen 2? Could be out as soon as late June.

I am also looking at a new build in the coming months. I see there are lots of rumours about zen 2 but obviously these are just rumours. I have been pretty set on the i9 but now I am not too sure...

I could think of a whole lot of better things to spend your money on but if its no objective, go hard.

    car upgrades..
    cheap quad..
    holiday to bora bora
    etc etc etc

FYI, that case is a pretty hot case. I have the non-x version with 8700k and 1080ti. running toasty, but acceptable.

How is the shift x even classified as itx? It's huge.

So this case is tower size tall, normal width but only ITX deep?

It sounds like you are buying a headache...

Still itx, got the "garbage can" orientation. its the sole reason I have it for less footprint. in saying that, the X is damn tall.

tbh, no matter what I went out and got my self.. there will always be someone that don't like it. or something about it.
    "why didn't you buy Ryzen?"
"why didn't you blah blah blah.."

end of the day im the one paying for it.. so its what makes me happy that counts.
and that goes for anyone else in the same shoes.

What temps are you getting? I was tossing up between this and the NZXT 200i so would be keen to see.

Went with the 200i + X52 AIO + RTX2080 seahawk, getting about 60deg on both under full load which I think is ok given the case.
