Best year of games I've ever seen: 2020.

It's so stacked already with games I never thought would happen, games I've been following for years and games that embody everything I love about gaming as a whole.....it's a little overwhelming...

    ...Bring it on, 2020

I wish I had the same buzz about games as you IST. I didn't even finish RDR2 even though I really wanted to and had fun when I did play it. I just sold my Xbox today.

I miss getting lost in a game.

Never force it my man: even i have big gaming lulls: not often, but they happen.

What do you think of the E3 and recently announced list so far? Cyberpunk/Baldur's Gate III/FFVII Remake/Bloodlines 2/Outer Worlds et al?

I reckon RPGs and mature adventuring is peaking at the moment, so many things seem tailored to what I love right now.

Too many games, no where near enough time.

Cyberpunk 2077 is the only pancake (non VR) game I am definitely going to get at this point. The PC Gaming show was full of bargain bin indie games.

It's crazy that they're all releasing Q1 2020. I kind of hope some of them are delayed to spread out the joy.

Yeah that was a good year for games, and a good year in general.

Close Combat: A Bridge Too Far, another good 97 game.

Last game I truly enjoyed easy rdr2, nothing can compare to it now and I'm in a gaming slump. 2020 looks freaking amazing though

Sort of hoping it comes to PC, that way I'll get to play it again and enjoy it with even better visuals.

I honestly feel like 2018 and 2019 have been pretty ****ing strong years. Currently prepping for FFXIV: Shadowbringers (XIV is low key best FF since X, no question, just go play Heavensward) and Borderlands 3.

2020 is all FFVII Remake and Cyberpunk 2077 for me.

    Also, 1999 had

    Chrono Cross
    Final Fantasy VIII
    Gran Turismo 2
    Ape Escape
    Tony Hawk's Pro Skater
    Suikoden 2
    Crash Team Racing
    Legend of Dragoon
    Syphon Filter
    Parasite Eve 2
    Valkyrie Profile
    Silent Hill

1999 was so strong, back then I wasnt the avid gamer I am now though, I was all about living to excess and odd belts of Tony Hawk and Gran Turismo.

Oddly, 88-98 I was a pretty intense gamer, think FFVII on PS1 was last big game in that era I finished (along with 1000 hours easy in couch pvp Goldeneye).

And we still don't know when Last of Us 2 or Ghosts of T will land in all this. One of them will most likely be in Feb or March and the other one later in the year. If I was in charge. It would be Last of Us 2 early 2020. And Ghosts of T would get a shadow drop at the end of their E3 2020 show. That then clears up the fall for the PS5 launch.

Ghosts could launch in September or October.

PS5 is not guaranteed till Xmas.

    STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl
    Mass Effect
    Unreal Tournament 3

    Portal
    Assassins Creed
    Super Mario Galaxy
    Half Life 2: Episode 2
    Team Fortress 2
    Halo 3
