KVM switch, 2 port, dual monitor, USB/HDMI

    hi all,
I'm looking for a KVM switch- 2 port, USB and HDMI. I need HDMI due to my wife's work laptop only having HDMI. I'm looking to transition to a dual 24" screen setup so the KVM switch would need to cater for this too. My comp can be HDMI, DVI or VGA (i think VGA..?)

Needs to compatible with usb wireless logitech MK270R mouse and keyboard if possible.

Are there any other options besides a KVM switch? I'm just trying to tidy my desk so I don't have people (my wife and kids) mucking around with cables, monitors and peripherals.

Did some searches here but light on info. 3 threads from 2011 and 2012.

    TIA

Sweet, i did see their brand at PBtech at Wigram yetserday. It was a 2 port KVM switch, just lacking dual monitor and HDMI. But that was the only KVM switch on their shelves.

    I'll do some more googling...

I haven't been able to find one that is HDMI, usually only VGA or DVI.

I'm wondering if I could just use an HDMI splitter to two screens?

That's an easy enough solve though just use dvi-hdmi leads

Good price and size but that's just for a single not dual? or am I missing something?

I've found this one, it's just a bit pricier than i was hoping.

It's a little bit cheaper from amazon with shipping. just got to make sure it comes with the right plugs.

The previous one looks to be 2 port. Haven't seen one in person, just going off the title / first image with two of each connection and the port switch button. Not sure you'd get single port KVM's?

Description is a bit odd though:

    KVM Ports

    Keyboard
    2 x USB Type A Male (Purple)
    Video
    2 x HD Type A Male (Black)
    Mouse
    2 x USB Type A Male (Black)
    Speakers
2 x Mini Stereo Plug Male (Green)
    Mic.
2 x Mini Stereo Plug Male (Pink)

Can only assume it means HDMI?

I googled, Amazon description is a lot better.

EDIT, my bad I forgot about dual display output. Yeah that isn't going to be cheap.

Yeah, my bad. Missed the dual display as well.

Those are a rarer beast. The startech is much cheaper than these ones:

Does the wifes laptop have two HDMI outputs? Just wondering how it operates the two screens currently. Do either of the monitors allow for two devices to be connected?

    Already got the monitors?

Sorry, haven't looked at this for a bit.

Nope, dual monitors are down the list a bit still.

My wifes work laptop has a single HDMI output and at her work she plugs it into a thinkpad pro which allows her to use dual monitors. I dint realise this until very recently :/
