    Maori language week

I heard on the radio this week a couple of kiwi bands had re-recorded their songs in Maori, Drax Project and Shapeshifter. Thought it was cool and wanted to share. Turns out there's a whole album, see here: https://www.waiataanthems.co.nz/album or straight here for the Spotify link: https://open.spotify.com/album/0Gk1SmhYrh61EhIE8BSKQz

Also cool shit is Maori Minecraft: https://education.minecraft.net/learn-maori/

Any other engaging content out there I missed?

    Awesome,cheers.

Not as cool but worth mentioning, Burger King have a deal where you say an easy 6 word phrase printed out in front of you, and you get a regular size meal upgraded to large for free.

I think Sway is my favourite....Always on my mind is great too. Must've been pretty hard to sing a song in another language

I kinda liked Bene's te reo version of Soaked. Listen to the whole waiata album over the weekend. Very cool.

Its pretty cool how this album came about and what caused it.

For all the negativity that surrounds multi-culturalism in NZ and still persists to this day, its nice to know that we are making progress for the better.

You're a real little snowflake. Most people happily get on with others of different backgrounds in NZ. It's a pretty welcoming country. Kefe

Why do people think swearing in Samoan in this thread is appropriate?

Lol I'm a snowflake, I'm not the one getting upset here.

Although I agree as a nation we are pretty open and tolerant of other cultures/races we can still do better and whats wrong with striving for better acceptance.
Hell did you even read about the album conception?

Its not that hard to find blatant racism in NZ, hell this one is the news on Monday:
