My favourite bit about these launches is reading comments by tards asking how anyone expects this company to survive if they don't have reusable rockets.

Yes definitely. Cool to see this kinda stuff happening in our backyard. One of my mates is a propulsion test engineer, so he keeps me updated with all the launch dates and such.

Yup pretty cool. I can say I contributed in the smallest way by doing a bit of steel fabrication work for them on one of their very first attempts.

    What did you do Swazi?

We designed all their launch infrastructure (erector, launcher, strongback etc). Another one of my bits of kit shown in that video above at 5:44

Congrats on the work , the rocket seems very reliable particularly for a newer design with the electric pump system.

Really want to see a launch live and take some of my own photos

Thats sweet. Nothing that involved. Just fab and welded some 300 NB (around that anyway cant remember exactly as it was a few years back) pipe spools. Not even sure exactly what they were for.

We did the exclusion zone for the first launch for them, they gave me a t-shirt. Pretty sweet

I worked with Peter Beck back when he was at Industrial Research Limited back in 05-07, back when he was just a good engineer who was obsessed with rockets. Remember seeing a photo he showed me of some rocket powered roller skates he built himself as a teenager. We started up our company about a month before he started up Rocket Lab. His company is now worth $2B and ours....... isn't.
