    Selling NZSX Shares?

Peeps, whats the best way to sell a one-off share holding in an NZSX listed company? Is there an online way to do this easily?

If your share parcel is worth more than $10,000 then Direct Broking is the cheapest broker:
    https://www.directbroking.co.nz/

If less than $10,000 you could also use ASB securities:
    https://www.asb.co.nz/asb-securities

If you have no intention of buying or selling NZX shares in the future you may be better off selling direct through the share registry which will be either:
    https://www.linkmarketservices.co.nz/
    or
    https://www.computershare.com/nz

Sorry, looks like only the Australian site will let you sell shares:
    https://www.linkmarketservices.com.a...ur-shares.html

If it was computershare you could sell them:
    https://www-au.computershare.com/Inv...m_campaign=IVT

Note: shares will only ever belong to one registry service so it is not possible to move your shares to computer share.

Looks like you will have to sign up to a share broking service. Not sure if there are any super easy ones to sign up to but I don't remember it being very difficult to sign up to either Direct Broking or ASB.

I sold some shares on ASB last year. Was doing a small trade, around 200 shares. Some ****er bought them all in 66 batches of 3 shares, resulting in me getting nothing because the broker fee got charged for every batch the guy bought.

That sounds fake, you only get charged a broker fee per order (min $30 or a percentage if it's higher than $30). I trade often on ASB.

I have had many split and partial orders.

Yeah, I've had my trades bought by multiple people / batches and it does not charge brokerage fee per split.

If it is a one-off you don't need to set up a trading account. Just go talk to any broker and they can do it for you for a small fee.

Why would you even bother making something like that up? You only get charged based on your sell order, it doesn’t impact the seller how anyone buys your shares
