    Animal Crossing

    Could have just posted in the other thread but meh.

    Who has Animal Crossing on Switch and;

    What fruit do you have?

    I currently have pears and even though I've been buying the Nook Miles tickets all the islands I've been visiting have all used pears which is frustrating.

    I open my island via dodocode and tweet it out every day to leave running in the background while im working. (not leaving my details here tho lol) People love the southern hemisphere islands for fishing so it fills up really fast. Im by myself all lockdown so its really nice to have people running around behind me while I work from home!! I do little random prize draws and stuff as well. Made some really neat friends from around the world that we voice chat every day.

    The game might need some serious QoL fixes but this is one of my favourite gaming experiences ever.

    I haven't tried anything online yet. I bought a Switch Lite for this before lockdown kicked in. I have oranges. And yes, on all four of my dodo ticket trips so far, the fruit on those islands has been oranges too.

    They need to somehow fix the joining and leaving animations.

    Annoying as hell when people come and go.

    Yep. Opening via dodocode can leave us all paused for around 10 minutes as they join. Then there is a bug where if people lose connection, turn their switch off or something (not entirely sure what triggers it) you lose everything you accumulated since the last save. So if you have a full room, and are fishing for 20 mins or something, and someone disconnects, it takes your progress back to when the last person joined and that'd 20 mins wasted.

    Easily the most backwards awkward broken infuriating online experience ever. And it's classic Nintendo.

    Yeah I had bought some Turnips on Sunday for 92bells. Managed to find someone selling for 450+ (can’t remember the exact figure) last night and it was painful. I couldn’t even leave the island because people kept turning up.

    In saying that, if your turnips are at a good price, you can make some good money giving out the dodo code.

    Made 8million bells yesterday.

    My store was buying for 491 so sold runs to people at 500k per run.

    Feels good man. Having fun in this aimless game.
